The contractor says its new name is short and easy to pronounce, and will be introduced alongside a corporate strategy and productivity targets through 2030.

Mace Construct will be renamed Forco, the UK contractor has said, with the new identity taking effect once the current trading period ends at the New Year.

The company said the name was chosen because it is “short, impactful and easy to pronounce.” The business will continue to trade as Mace Construct until then, before moving forward as Forco with a new corporate strategy unveiled alongside productivity targets running through to 2030.

The change follows the separation of Mace Construct and Mace Consult into two separate businesses in March. Under that arrangement, Mace Consult retained the Mace brand.

Mark Reynolds, Executive Chair, said Mace Construct — soon to be Forco — had spent 35 years raising standards and helping to drive the industry forward. He said the new name represents a clear commitment to being the UK’s most forward-thinking contractor, and its most productive by 2030.

Reynolds added that while the name and brand are changing, the qualities that made the business one of the UK’s most respected contractors are not: its culture, its values and the people who have underpinned its success. Clients, he said, can expect the same teams, the same commitment to delivery and the same drive to create places and infrastructure that last.
